Iron Horse Riding Academy opened in 2009 under the experienced hand of Adria Fix. Iron Horse strives to teach every student confidence through safe handling, proper care and riding in partnership with our beloved horses. Horsemanship and respect of the horses are just as important to as the riding part of our lessons. We wish our students to be life-long learners and to teach them how to teach themselves. Adria is our main instructor and has been teaching since 2004 and has been managing horse care and several programs since 2002. Our school horses are sweet, gentle natured horses that have a kind eye and patience to help teach every student to be their best.

 

 

We offer group and private lessons 6 days a week all day and after school lessons Tuesday through Friday. We evaluate student’s ability and place them in a lesson that fits their skill level. We also offer camps in the summer for younger kids that are focused on horse care and having fun at the barn, including pony rides. With wonderful trails right on the property, lessons may take breaks from training and have fun playing games and exploring the property from horseback. The Advanced students will have opportunities to participate in the in-barn shows.
